We were inspired by Kristin Lucas’s “Dance With Flamingos” augmented reality (AR) experience. We created an environment around a public sculpture found on Colorado State University’s campus. Normally, art is to be viewed, not touched, but our AR experience allows users to interact with the physical and virtual art together and in a different way. Our models were designed based using applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Dimension, and Aero.

Selected in the 33rd European Media Art's Festival in Germany, this collaborative piece was inspired by both of our inabilities to see properly and how our eyes perceive shapes of color, especially during nighttime. We turned this into a performance piece where we experimented with light and motion through dance. We were in total darkness, guided only by the source of our lights. We further manipulated our performance by using a frame buffer program in real time and in post production.
